RIP Norman Borlaug
Okay, I'm probably not going to make any serious effort to resurrect this blog any time soon. That thing about "random quotes returning soon" is quite clearly a lie. And with the absolute sucktastic-ness of real life lately, my heart just isn't in it. Angry Stick-figure Man is probably retired, possibly forever. Not only has my sense of humor been smothered under huge mounds of crap, but the guy who ASfM was based off of, and meant to make fun of (Lee from Right-Thinking) apparently died at age 39. Weird and creepy. So when I say "ASfM retired", I really mean "ASfM died."
What motivated me to post today though was the death of Norman Borloug, a man who isn't exactly a household name, but who probably saved more human lives than anyone in history. He was 95, so it's not like this is surprise, but the guy definitely deserves some big praise, and in a just world would not be overshadowed by Teddy the sociopath.
By the way, if any of my old readers, or co-bloggers for that matter, ever check in on this blog I wouldn't mind hearing from you. Especially those who never made the move over to the new Super Secret And Totally Awesome Continuation Of The Kallini Forum That You Don't Even Know About. That's been pretty much the only place that I've been active online lately.
